Backup CapturyLive Installation

Sometimes you may need to reinstall a system that CapturyLive installed. In order to make the reinstallation as smooth as possible you will want to backup configuration files, AI model caches, camera settings, calibration files, etc.. Fortunately, all of this data is contained in only two folders.

On Windows settings are stored under

%APPDATA%\theCaptury

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Captury

On Linux backup the following folders

~/.config/theCaptury

~/.local/share/Captury

In addition, you may want to backup any recordings you've made. By default, they're stored I your "Documents" folder but you may have selected a different location.

The network configuration is typically defined in "/etc/netplan".

PTP is configured in this file: "/etc/linuxptp/ptp4l.conf"

With these files backed up you should be able to quickly configure CapturyLive after a system reinstallation.

Be aware of the installation instructions provided here: http://doc.captury.com/CapturyLive/installation.html
